An Analysis Of Credit Use Among Smallholders In Abia State
ABSTRACT
The main objective of the study is to determine the use of credit among smaliholder fiumers in Abia State. The Nigerian Agricultural Cooperative and Rural Development Bank (NACRDB) Ltd was used us a case study. A list of' credit beneficiaries was obtained from NACRDB. This formed the sampling flame from which Li random sample of 44 beneficiaries was taken. Simple descriptive statistics were used to analyst the socio-economic characteristics and the use of credit by the liti'nmrs. Regression analysis was used to determine the effect of credit allocation on the value of OLItIRIL in (lie study ttrea. The study revealed that all credit received by beneficiaries of the bank was l)OSitiVeIY related to their inconie. They were also significant.
