ABSTRACT This study is designed to investigate the utilization of school library resources by secondary school students. A descriptive survey research design was used for this study. The population of the study was made up of students in JSS 1 to SSS 3 in Dorothy International Secondary School, Aba, Abia State. A sample of 70 respondents was drawn from the population of 942 which is 6.7%. A questionnaire was designed using the Likert scale model and validated by the researcher supervisor. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive mean scores. Findings revealed that the materials in the libraries were not only scanty but poorly organized for effective library and information service delivery. It is suggested that library and school authorities should make adequate provision for proper and adequate school library services in secondary schools for improvement in the educational standard. Equally important is the fact that the recommended National Educational Policy on the need for secondary school libraries be made mandatory for all secondary schools. This has become necessary as a result ofthe importance ofschool library especially development of e-library, in the life of the modem child and its immense role towards realizing the educational and sustainable development goals (SDGs).
