The Impact Of Trade Unionism On Organization Growth (A Study Of 7up Bottling Company Plc, Aba)

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of trade unionism on

organizational growth. We identify problems inherent with the Seven-Up

Bottling Company plc Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. Also, the significant role

played by trade unionism in the organizational growth of 7up Bottling

Company. In accordance with this aim, to determine the impact of trade

unionism and factors influencing its organizational growth. Empirical

findings show that majority of the manufacturer respondents identified

that the company should be embarked on trade unionism in order to

compete effectively in the market. Among the findings include: some of

the obstacles that militate against the organizational growth of trade

unionism in Seven-up Bottling Company could include selfish interest,

bias mind, and opposition of some departments in the union.
