The Impact Of Commercial Bank Lending On The Nigerian Manufacturing Sector

ABSTRACT

 This study is necessitated by the main objective of commercial banks, to give out loan. Which uphold the manufacturing sector as a priority area where banks should channel their bulk credit Lo. This paper examines the structure and trend of commercial bank lending to the manufacturing sector, and the manufacturing sector contribution to GDP in the next 1 7yrs (ie 1995-201 1) .The study used simple regression analysis, to analyse its work. The paper recommends the need for government to ensure they use his position to ensure that banks lend adequate fund to the manufacturing sector. This is therefore concluded that for the manufacturing sector to develop, adequate fund must be provided or granted to the sector.
