ABSTRACT

An incubation study was conducted in the soil science laboratory of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike to ascertain the effect of oyster shell ash palm bunch and limestone on soil active and exchangeable acidity. Five rates of treatments: 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8t/ha were applied and replicated three times in completely randomized design. Result showed that application of 4t/ha of palm bunch ash and limestone respectively and 8t/ha significantly (p<O.05) increased soil pH and reduced exchangeable acidity.
