Roles Of Internal Auditors In The Achievement Of Organizational Goals And Objectives In The Banking Sector. (A Study Of Main Street Bank Plc, Umuahia)

ABSTRACT

The study examined roles of internal Auditors in the achievement of organizational goals and objectives in banking sector. The study involved a survey of Afri-bank Plc now known as Main Street Bank Plc. A sample size of Fifty Two (52) persons was drawn from the banking industry. They were administered with structured questionnaire. Data obtained were subjected to descriptive statistics and Likert scale analysis. To determine the mean Likert level = Xs=Ex. The study indicates N that Internal Auditors roles are significantly related in achieving organizational goals and objectives in the banking sector. Also, Internal Auditors independence and Management interface are positively and significantly corrected in the banking sector. It was concluded that Internal Auditing influences management performance and has a lot to do with cooperate goals attainment.
