Role Of Accounting Information In Small Scale Business Organization (A Study Of Selected Firms In Enugu)

ABSTRACT

This research work seeks to examine the role of accounting information in small scale business organization with particular interest in some selected firms in Enugu. The activities of small business organization are pertinent to the corporate growth and development of the nation. It contributes significantly to the actualization of dreams of establishing a formidable nation that has the potential meeting the needs of it nation. In the course of this research work the data for analysis was generate using primary method of data collection, which involved the use of questionnaire. A well structured questionnaire was distributed to managers and accountants of the selected small business organization in Enugu. In a bid to address the problems identified in the course of this study the researcher made some recommendations; accounting information should be use as a strategy by small business organizations in Nigeria to gain more market share and improve their competitive edge, since it provides business organization needed information for proper planning and market analysis accounting information should be used by all business organizations in Nigeria, whether small or big, since it the use of accounting information there is a significant relationship between accounting information and decision making of small business organization in Nigeria. This will help business organization to make informed decision.
