ABSTRACT

Eighteen Large White x Landrace weaner pigs averaging 11.0kg at l2weeks of age were divided into three groups of six cacti and used in. 42 day feeding trial to evaluate the performance, hematological and blood biochemistry of weaner pigs fed raw bambara 11W. offal (BNO). The test diets designated A, B, and C were formulated to contain I S% crude protein (CP) and 2800Kcal ME/kg. The pigs were randomly allocated to three treatments according to weight and sex, with two replicate per treatment and three pigs per replicate. Result shows that pigs kid the control diet (0?/0BNO) were comparable (P>0.05 ) to the pigs fed diet B(20% BNO) in average daily weight gain feed conversion ratio , final body weight and cost of production. 1-lematological evaluation revealed that heinoglobin, red blood cell white blood cell, neutrophil and lymphocyte of the pigs differed significantly.
