ABSTRACT

 Quality service has become a competitive and marketing strategy in both manufacturing and service industries. Its importance cannot be overemphasized. The researcher carried out this study to determine the challenges and prospect of quality service delivery in hotels. The researcher distributed one hundred copies of questionnaires, out of which 51 copies were returned representing 51 %. The data generated through the questionnaire was statically analyzed using descriptive statistical technique percentage and chi-square. It was discovered that most hotels do not organize training programs targeted at improving quality service delivery as well as seldom motivate their employees. To address this problem, recommendations were given and it is believed that the judicious implementation of same will be a competitive edge to these firms.
