ABSTRACT
Non-convectional feed materials such as pig dung, palm trunk, snail and then periwinkle, groundnut where procured and processed into particulates, the particulates were used to formulate poultry feeds at various ratios in combination with other approved material for feed production. The mixtures were xtruded and dried. The feed produced were subjected to physio-chemical analysis, and then used to feed four birds at different pen and one bird was used as a control and was fed with a convectional feed. The performances of the feed on the birds were analyzed and anthropometry measurement of the birds both the control was taken. Result obtained showed that though the feed varied between its chemical nutrients, crude protein ranges between 16.63 to 16.50% and metabolized energy 2280.62 to 2513.00 Kcal/Kg. The result obtained showed that the processed non-convectional feed can compete favorably with the convectional feed.
