ABSTRACT xii were was A cross sectional study was conductedfrom May to July, 2018 on 400 slaughtered examined at postmortem at Ubakala abattoir. Majority of the >5years ofage while 20.3% yvere <5years ofage. Fifty six cattle that were cattle (79.8%) yvere percent (56%) yvere male whileforthyfourpercent (44%) werefemales. According to body condition score, 36%, 42.3% and 21.8% y^ere fat, medium and lean respectively. The prevalence ofgross lesions seen in the lungs, liver, forestomach (rumen and reticulum) and intestine were 72%, 22.3%, 24.5 and 26.3% respectively. The major gross lesions seen in the lungs were pneumonia (28.7%), pulmonary congestion(27.3%), tuberculosis(5.4%), those seen in the liver fascioliosis(2L3%) and tuberculosis(1.0%), in the forestomach paramphistomosis (24.5%) and in the intestine was pimply gut(25.2%).
