ABSTRACT

This study involve the use of Moringa leaf meal {MLM) to determine its effect on performance of finisher broilers, Four treatment diets were formulated to contain MLM inclusion levels of 0% (control), 2.5%, 5% and 7.50%. A hundred and twenty day.-old.chicks were used for the € ..... experiment. They were randomly divided into 4 groups of 30 birds per treatment with 10 birds per replicate, in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Feed and water were provided ad libitum. The birds fed diet T, (783.66) had significantly (P<0.05) weight than diet T, (666.66) and T, (617.00) total weight gain was significantly (P<0.05) affected by the total feed intake. Feed conversion ratio was significantly (P<0.05) lower with (3.30) in T, and T, with (3.73) than in diet T3 with {4.12) and T, with (4.10), total weight gain was significantly (P<0.05) affected al.so. It was concluded that MLM can be used as an additive in the feed of finisher broilers at 2.5% inclusion level without any adverse effect on the productive performance of finisher broilers.
