ABSTRACT Naturally, play activities substantially engage the time and life-space ofevery child.Play can be harnessed for teaching the early childhood learnerthe most effective way, hence, the need to facilitate evolution of paradigmsforfull integration ofplay into the processes ofteaching and learning ofpreschoolers. This study undertook a sort ofmeta-analysis ofsuch efforts at global level consequent upon which a paradigm shift was recommended.In effect, it was advanced that well groomed ECCDE teachers and care-givers should be meaningfully involved in ensuring that play activities are harnessed for proper instruction delivery
