ABSTRACT
The present study deals with effect of reactor inlet temperature, catalyst weight on the volumetric flowrate from the waste plastic pyrolysis plant as well as their optimization. From optimization study, the most operating parameters affected the increase in volumetric flowrate is reactor inlet temperature followed by catalyst weight. Increasing the reactor inlet temperature increase more yield of petroleum product from the plant due to the increasing catalyst activity. The optimal operating conditions of reactor inlet temperature and catalyst weight were 379.278°COC and 1.25 gram respectively. The product yield with respect to maximum liquid fuel was 83.580 % at volumetric flowrate of 1 lit./hr at input of 2kg/hr of thermoplastics into the waste plastics pyrolysis plant. The diesel range hydrocarbons obtained from the plant are C10-C13.
