ABSTRACT
Cocoa is a prominent commercial cash crop in West Africa. It is one of the economy cash crops produced in Abia, Ekiti and Undo States of Nigeria in a large quantity. The most useful and valuable part of the crop is the bean. The highest percentage of cocoa bean produced in the developing countries is exported. The exported beans are processed abroad and the end products are imported back to the developing countries at a relatively high cost
