ABSTRACT

The focus,of this study is to determine the effect of library us,e on academic performance of students of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. Survey research method is used as the research design while purposive or judgmental sampling technique is used to select the sample for the study. Questionnaires were used as part of gathering techniques. The findings revealed that there is a positive relationship between library use and,, academic performance of students. The research appreciates the rationale for setting up a functional library in every institution of higher learning as well-as justifying the existence of the library as a centre of academic excellence in any educational institution.
