Innovative Ways Of Improving Secondary School Library (A Case Study Of Mouau Demonstration Secondary School, Umudike).

ABSTRACT

This study investigates the innovative ways of improving the library in Michael Okpara University of agricullure Umudike demonstration secondary school. It examines the various challenges faced by students and staffs using the library and innovative ways of improving the standard of the school library. The study adopted survey design. Sample size of seventy seven consisting of sixty two student and f/teen staff. constitutes the population of the study. The instruments fom data collection were questionnaires, interviews and personal observation. Findings revealed that most of the students don 't use the library and the library materials are not updated. It also include summary of the study, implication of finding. It concluded the various ways of improving the library standard in MOUA U demonstration secondary school. Recommended among other that: Expansion of the library structure is needed, employment of competent librarian to manage the library and adequate funds should be channelled to the school library.
