These concepts can mean different things to different people (professionals and laymen allkei In view of this, lnformaUon can therefore be said to be any message to be conveyed from one source to another source or destination. The concept Is related to notions like communication, data, education, knowledge, etc. According Madden (2000) Information Is a stlmulus originating In one system that affects the Interpretation by another system. It Is associated with data as data represents values attributed to parameters and Information Is data In context and with meaning attached. Information also relates to knowledge as knowledge slgnlfles understanding of an abstract or concrete concept (Montviloff, 1990). In terms of communication, Information Is expressed either as the content of a message or through direct or Indirect observation
