ABSTRACT

The effect of single or combined inocula of the fungi Pleurotus ostreatus var Florida (P0), P. Tuber-regium (Pt) and the nematode Meloidogyne incognita (Nem) on growth. nodulation, galling incidence and yield in three susceptible soyabean (Glycine max L. A.fpi1) cultivar (TUX 923-2E, TGX 1440-IE, and TGX 1485-iD) were assessed under glasshouse condition. The experiment was laid out in completely randomized design (CRD) with eight treatments replicated four times. 'l'hc treatments included Nern+Po, Nem+Pt, Nem+Po+Pt, Nern alone, Po+Pt, Po alone, Pt alone and control (without nematode and P/euro/its spp). Results obtained showed that 50g spent substrate of P/euro/us os/rca/us or P. tuher-regium scierolia, either in singly or combined and with nematode significantly O5) reduced nemaiode population iii soil and roots with corresponding yield performance, and were coniparable with uninoculated (control). Statistically, P/euro/us os/rca/us in the treatment where it appeared, significantly
