ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of computer teachers' characteristics on Sustainable Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Development in secondary school in Umuahia North L.G.A. Abia state. The design of the study is ex post facto. Three null hypotheses were posited and tested at 0.05 level of significance using Pearson Product Moment correlation and Chi square. A well validated 15 item questionnaire was designed using the Likert scale Model and administered to a randomized sample of Fifty computer teachers' drawn from a population of six hundred and thirty four teachers from seventeen public secondary school in the study area. Percentage and Mean was used to analyze the result of the three research questions. Findings of analyses showed that computer teachers' characteristic has a significant effect on sustainable ICT development in secondary school. Based on these findings, appropriate recommendations were made.
