Impart Of Efficient Internal Control And Managerial Efficiency On Corporate Performance (A Case Study Of Selected Manufacturing Companies In Aba, Abia State)

ABSTRACT

This project work is on the impact of the use of internal control system and management performance have in most organization productivity performance. Most organizations that have low performance can be traced to the ineffectiveness of its management performance. The researcher made use of simple percentage in analyzing its primary and secondary data. From the analyzed data it is seen that internal control is concerned with the controls operative in every area of the organization, as well as the way the individual controls co-relate, it consists of the methods and procedures that arc concerned with the authorization of transactions. It is also seen that staff quality and qualification affects the reliability and effectiveness of the internal control system present in the organization. Ii the internal control system is properly set-up, it will provide management with a unique way of monitoring employee's adherence to organizational policies, which would help management in achieving its goals and objectives. It is recommended that the basic components of internal control; internal audit, internal checks and financial control should be clearly defined to employees and emphasized. Management should regularly evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the control system in place in order to reveal strengths and weakness if any and also evaluate employees performance. It is also recommended that organizational goals be made known to all employees, so that they would work towards attaining the organizations goal.
