Impact Of Working Capital Management On The Growth Of Corporate Organizations In Nigeria (A Study Of Selected Banks In Abia State)

ABSTRACT

 Firm 's smooth day-to-day organizational operation is a function of an effective working capital management. And a firm 's profitability and growth is dependent on the daily smooth running of its operations. This research was carried out to empirically investigate the impact of the working capital management of Zenith bank plc, Eco bank p/c and Stanblic IBTC bank plc in Abia state on their corporate growth. To achieve this objective, two models were specfled for the study. One model was estimated using ordinary least square (OLS) regression technique, while the other one was analysed using correlation analysis. The outcome of both analysis indicated that working capital was a direct and significant function of profitability. Recommendations made were that there was need for every corporate organization to have an effective working capital management in place, organizations should acquire working capital management accounting software, and there should be an effective assets mix in the working capital portfolio of an organization.
