ABSTRACT

 The study examined the impact of working capital management on performance of corporate firms, a study of Dangote Nigeria Pic. Secondary data was used for the analysis sourced from Annual report of Dangote Nigeria Pic. Multiple regression of ordinary least square (OLS) technique of analysis was used. The result from the study revealed that cash conversion cycle was negative and had insignificant impact on return on asset while, accounts payable was negative but had significant impact on return on asset, it was also discovered that accounts receivables was negative and had insignificant impact on return on asset. The study therefore concludes that working capital management was negative and had insignificant impact on the performance of Dangote Nigeria Pic, while the following were recommended; that the management of Dangote Nigeria Pic should improve on their cash flows, through the reduction of their cash conversion cycle, and that there should be strong alliance between Dangote Nigeria Pic and their suppliers because the alliance will strategically improve production lines and strengthen their credit record for future expansion, that the managers of Dangote Nigeria Pic should try to reduce their credit period in order to enhance their performance, because if the collection period of accounts receivable is greater, then there would be less profitability or performance of the firm.
