Impact Of Pension Administration On Performance Of Nigeria Public Sector Organization (A Study Of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC)

ABSTRACT

The study focused on the impact of pension administration on Nigeria public sector organization. The objectives of the study are, to examine the extent to which poor record keeping affects pension administration in Nigeria public sector Nigeria public sector administration, to examine the effect 'of ghost workers on pension administration in Nigeria public sector administration and to determine the effect of low quality man-power on pension administration and to determine the effect of low quality nan-power on pension administration in Nigerian public sector administration. To achieve the objectives of the study, survey research design was adopted. The researcher adopted primary data in getting the required information. In testing revealed that poor record keeping has significant effect on the performance of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. It also revealed that low quality manpower has significant effect on the performance of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. The researcher recommends that government should set up a technical or steering committee to study the Pension Reform Act 2004 and how it can be adopted in the public sector. The researcher also recommends that the Pension Reform Edict should be complemented fully with the systematic structures.
