Impact Of Effective Internal Control System On Profitability (A Study Of Selected Manufacturing Companies In Umuahia)

ABSTRACT

The study was an extensive research on internal control in business organization. In Nigeria: implication for revenue generation. In the course of study, the research stated some of the objective to include the impact of internal control system to enhance fraud detection in an organization among others. The study adopted a population of 90 which led to the simple size of 14 derived from taro Yemen's method. However, questionnaires were distributed to different departments of the selected companies. And the data collected were analyzed using simple presented in tables. The study hypotheses stated in chapter one were tested using simple regression model and correlation. After the study, the study concluded that there is significant relationship between internal control system and corporate profitability in the selected companies. Therefore, the researcher recommended that the internal control procedure of the selected companies should be revived. Such will help in effective fraud detection and revenue generation measures in the company.
