Impact Of Corporate Financial Disclosure On The Performance Of Banks In Nigeria

ABSTRACT

 The study was carried out to examine the impact of corporate financial disclosure on the performance of banks in Nigeria. Primaiy data was obtained from administration of questionnaires to the staff of Eco bank, Umudike and was analyzed using cumulative frequencies/ percentage and simple regression statistical tool. The essential objective of the study is to examine the impact of corporate financial disclosure on the performance of banks in Nigeria, other objectives includes to ascertain the impact of corporate financial disclosure on the profitability on selected bank. Simple regression technique was carried out between the relative disclosure and variables associated with the impact of corporate financial disclosure. From the analysis, findings were made and it was recommended that the users of accounting information and financial statement needs to know about other factors that affect the impact of financial disclosure which in turn may affect disclosure before making any economic decision.
