Impact Of Agricultural Output On The Growth Of Economy Of Nigeria

ABSTRACT
The study examined the effect of agricultural output on Nigeria's economic growth for the period of 1980-2014. Specifically the study analyzed the relationship between agricultural output and GDP with secondary data using the Ordinary Least Square econometric technique. The empirical findings of the study provide evidence that there is a positive relationship between Agricultural output, thus recommended that government should increase its investment in the agricultural sector as this showed to be positively related to Nigeria growth and development.
