Impact Of Accounting Standards On The Preparation Of Financial Statement Of An Organization. {A Study Of Guinness Nigeria Plc.}

ABSTRACT

 This research work is based on the impact of accounting standards on the preparation of financial statement (a study of Guinness Nigeria plc). The sources of data collection for this investigation are from primary and secondary services which include questionnaire, face to face interview for the primary source while consumption of text books, journal, internet and other government publication were used in the secondary source. Research hypothesis were formulated, the questionnaire were analyzed using percentage table. The staff service in enabling me meet any target but it was a little difficult for them since the information as top secret in there various department. The researcher used Karl Pearson product moment correlation statistical tool to test hypothesis after the study. Some finding made were the usefulness of accounting standard is necessary for controlling and monitory performances in public liability companies e.t.c. while man released of funds and lack of funds are some problem found that hinders the possibility of conducting conferences and seminar to educate some staff in the usefulness of the accounting standards. Some recommendation made by the researcher includes; there should be implementation on the use of accounting standard each year by releasing funds as at when due. There should be also monitoring processes to ensure that the use of accounting standards is useful.
