Evaluation Of The Impact Of Computerization On The Accounting System Of Small Scale Business Organization In Nigeria (A Case Of Two Selected Firms In Aba, Abia State)

ABSTRACT

This research work sought to evaluate the impact of computerization on the accounting system of small scale business organizations in Nigeria with particular interest in Devten Ltd and Mikko Plastic Ltd, Aba Abia State. Data was generated using primary method of data collection, in a bid to achieving the stated objective a well-structured questionnaire was drafted and distributed to staff of the company under review. Data generated were analyzed using regression and correlation analysis. Based on the research findings the researcher offered the following recommendations: management team and other relevant top officials should he offered intensive and consistent training on how to use modern computer software, Management should release funds towards the purchase and maintenance of computer gadgets and software, computerization of accounting system by management should be encouraged, management of business organizations should apply modern computer software’s and gadgets in ensuring reliability and efficiency of accounting system, the computerization of the accounting system should be encouraged in all business organizations.
