Evaluation Of Public Sector Audit Practice In Nigeria (A Case Study Of Auditor-General Of Ebonyi State)

ABSTRACT

This research study dealt on the evaluation of public sector audit practice. It is an overview of accountability and auditing in public practice and how auditors both internal and external auditors carry out their audit work in these government ministries. Also how the composition of staff and quality together with the independence of the auditors in the course of discharging their duties influence the accountability audit of these government establishments in Ebonyi state. The study reveals all the challenges public sector faces and recommends how to overcome these challenges which will assist in improving public sector audit in future years.
