Agricultural development according to Adehoye (2002) can be defined as the system of transforming city ridden, er populated and technologically backward sect or of an economy  a modern iie concern lodern agriculture is ftihly integrated into the nionetary or exchange iarhet, which is technologically dynamic. Thus, emphasis of' rural development is on improving the economic and social life of the rural peoile by reducing the eco onucnd secal disparity between the poorest and not so poor in the rural areas. it is intended to reduce poverty, recognize the role of iniproved tood supplies, nutrition and hatc services such as health and education in both directly iiliproving the physical wed being and 1uahtv of' life of' the rural poor and indirectly raising productivity.
