Entrepreneurship education for youth empowerment and Economic Development in the 21st century Nigeria:- Maryann C.E Udo

ABSTRACT

The 21st century Education is speedily moving towards entrepreneurship study for the purpose of enhancing economic development, self-reliance, employment and wealth creation. The paper deals exclusively on challenges and prospects ofyouth empowerment and wealth creation through entrepreneurship business. The researchers also develops approaches to the study of entrepreneurship; the approaches are: Socio-Dynamic Approach, Profit-Oriented Approach and Risk-Oriented Approach. The paper also view entrepreneurship education as a product of self-reliance among youths for harnessing innate abilities for advancement of indigenous technology for effective economy productivity. Political environments, poor financial management, inability to operate in a dynamic environment are among the major constraint to effective entrepreneurship. Vocational Agricultural Training of the youths at various levels of institutions should be encouraged; Entrepreneurship Agricultural fund for empowering youths in poultry, piggery and fisheryproduction should be made available.
