ABSTRACT

Since the t-calculated is less than the critical value oft at 0.05 level ofsignificance, it means that there is no significant difference between the mean evaluation scores of the student-teachers as was rated by the supervisor and the cooperating teachers. This means that the null hypothesis is upheld. Result of this study therefore provides a strong basis for recommending that teacher-education institutions can now begin to use the cooperative evaluation technique for effective teaching practice exercise. However, tire cooperating teachers working as a team with the supervisors should be afforded ample opportunity to familiarize and understand the pedagogic approaches and evaluation skills advocated by the teacher-training institution.
