ABSTRACT

This work focuses on the indispensability of accounting information system to corporate organization. The study was carried out by distribution of questionnaires, from the population, sample size was derived by sample random sampling, and research data were analyzed using simple percentile. The main statistical tool employed was Chi-square distribution. Two hypotheses were formulated and tested using chi-square at 5% level of degree of freedom. The study reveals that corporate organization employs the services of few qualified accountants. Management of corporate organization is acquainted with Accounting Information System. Accounting Information is indispensable to the planning and control of organizational resources as well as achieving a higher profitability. In view of the findings above, the researcher recommends that: Accounting Information should be reliable, effective and timely. Management of corporate organization should embank on adopting information technology that will hold all the facet of the organization together. Management of corporate organization should employ adequate qualified Accountants to dish enough Accounting Information. Finally it is not an understatement to mention that this work is exhaustive because of the time and financial constraints. The researcher therefore recommends the need for further research
