ABSTRACT

Sales force constitutes one of the major sources of enhancing sales performance in the corporate organizations. It is based on this that the researcher seeks to analyze the effect of sales force train:ng or; the marketing performance of manufacturing firms in Abia state. In the process of carrying out the research, questionnaire was designed to collect primary data which were later analyzed using simple percentag?s. Also, Correlation and Chi-square models were adopted to test the null hypotheses stated in chapter one of this study. However, a study size of 60 respondents was adopted from a population of 70 through a purposive sampling technique. After the study, the researcher, concluded that sales force training has positive effect in the marketing performance in the manufacturing firms. And therefore recommended that sales force training should be adopted in the manufacturing firms.
