Effect Of Liquid Assets Management On The Performance Of Nigeria Business Enterprise (A Study Of Manufacturing Firms In Nigeria Brewery PLC)

ABSTRACT

The study investigated the effect of liquid assets management on the performance of Nigeria

business enterprise (a study of selected manufacturing firms in Nigeria). The mci/or objectives of

the study was to determine the effect of current ratio, acid test ratio and cash ratio on the profit

after tax offirms in Nigeria. To evaluate the effect of current ratio, acid test ratio and cash ratio

on return on asset offirms in Nigeria. To achieve the objectives of the study, ex-post facto research

design was adopted. The researcher adopted secondary data in getting the required information.

In testing the hypothesis multiple regression was used. The findings show that there is a significant

relationship between current ratio, acid test ratio and cash ratio have no significant effect on profit

qfter tax offirms in Nigeria. Secondly there is a significant relationship on effect of current ratio,

acid test ratio and cash ratio on return on asset offirms in Nigeria. Lastly, there is significant

relationship on current ratio, acid test ratio and cash ratio has no signicant effect on return on

equity offirms in Nigeria. The researcher therefore recommends that firms should maintain a

moderate level of liquidity that does not threaten their going concern status, and yet allows them

to make adequate profits on their investments.
