ABSTRACT

The overall objective of this research work is to investigate the Effect of inventory control on the performance of manufacturing companies in Nigeria using Guinness Nigeria Pic. as a case study from 2007-2016. Data was sourced from the financial statement of Guinness Nigeria Pic and the analysis of the data was done using SPSS. Based on the outcome of the data analysis, it was found out that inventory turnover is positively related and effects the NPM, ROCE and ROA of Guinness Nigeria Pic. Consequently, it was recommended among other things that Inventory Control should be monitored with the latest inventory technique and strategy to possibly reduce stochastic assumptions and uncertainties arising from unethical inventory management practices.
