ABSTRACT

The study about I'.ffcct of government expenditure on economic growth of Nigeria was to discovci if increase in Government expenditure affects the growth of Nigeria and to know the contribution ofgovernment expenditure on the economic growth ofNigeria. Its objective is to determine whether government expenditure affect the standard of living of Nigeria Economy. In the cause ol this study secondary data was used to source the desired information. It was analyzed using multiple regression and correlation analysis. The research discovers that government should engage in more capital expenditure that arc profitable in other to improve the standard ol living of the country, from the research carried out shows that there is a significant effect of government capital expenditure on the economic growth of Nigeria. And that recurrent expenditure has no significant effect on economic growth of Nigeria.
