abstract concentration (HB) (g ), blood cell (RBC) (xl06mm3), total white blood cell (TWBC) (X1OW3) total protein (TP (g/dl), blood glucose (BG) (mg/dl), mean corpuscular volume (MCV) (A), corpuscu a^m°g obin (MCH) (pg), mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC) (g dl) Morphometric traits measured are body weight (BDW) (g), body length (BDL) (cm , ear length (EL) (cm), heart grit (HGT) (cm), hip height (HH) (cm), horn length (HL) (cm), leg ength (LL) (cm), neck length (NL) (cm), tail length (TL) (cm). The result of the descriptive analysis of blood traits shows that HB ranged between 0.80 to l.Og/dl, BG ranged between 3.00 to 9.00mg/dl, MCH ranged between 0.41 to 1.88pg, PCV ranged between 1.00 to 4.00%, RBC ranged between 0.30 to 1.31xl06mm3, TP ranged between 0.41 to 0.62g/dl, and TWBC ranged between 1.90 to 5.80xl03mm3, while the morphometric traits measured shows that body weight ranged between 3.70 to 6.00g, BDL ranged between 12.20 to 13.10cm, EL ranged between 2.00 to 3.10cm, HGT range between 9.80 to 13.00cm, HH ranged between 9.00 to 13.00cm, HL ranged between 6.00 to 7.20cm, LL ranged between 5-.60 to 10.00cm, NL ranged between 3.30 to 6.00cm, TL ranged between 2.20 to 5.00cm. There were significant (p<0.05) difference in the effect of sex on PCV and RBC at week 22 with female having higher values than males. There were significant (p<0.05) difference in the effect ofsex on EL at week 22 with female having higher values than males. There were significant (p<0.05) difference in the effect ofsex on MCHC at week 24 with females having higher values than males. There was a high significant (p>0.01) difference in the effect of sex on EL at week 24 with female having higher values and also significant (p<0.05) difference on the BDW at week 24 with female having higher values the male. There was high significant (p<0.01) difference on the effect of sex on MCH at week 25 with female having higher values. There was high significant (p<0.01) difference in the effect of sex on EL at week 25 with female having higher values. There was significant (p<0.05) difference between male and female on BDW and EL at week 26 with female having higher values than male. There were significant morphometric traits as effected by traits showed significant (p<0.05) difference with week 24, 25 and 26 having higher values of the traits of WAD goat. Blood traits of WAD goats at week 21 to 26 showed significant (p<0.05) differences. The study has showed that age and sex have influence on blood and morphometric traits of WAD goats, showing that highest BDW and other growth traits increases with increase in age. Females exhibited higher growth in most of the traits studied than the male counterpart. Selection could be made on female WAD goats at 24 and 26 weeks of age for higher BDW and BDL.
