ABSTRACT
Palm oil is Form of edible vegetable oil untrained from the fruit of' the oil palm tree. Apart from palm oil, palm kernel oil can also be produced from oil palm. the residue from Oil palm is recycled into palm kernel cake. Palm oil is the most widely produced vegetable oil in Nigeria. It is mostly produced in southern part of Nigeria. According to Akanji (1998), palm oil is also produced in several countries worth wide-especially in those countries living in tropical zones of the world. Palm grooves are mostly 10(111(1 and grown widely in eastern Nigeria. it is also the major export product apart from mineral oil. According to (Usoro 1991). An estimated 70% of working population of Nigeria in 1963 were involved in the processing of oil p tin for export.
