ABSTRACT

Consumer's attitudes towards purchasing either foreign or local products have being a matter of debate. Therefore the objective of this study was to determine the consumer attitude towards local and foreign made herbal food supplement. This study employed the used of constructive questionnaire which was used in data collection. Various analytical tools was also used in analyzing the data from the result, it was discovered that advertising, price, culture, and market knowledge go a long way in improving the sales of local food supplements. The study recommends that local companies should emphasize on the use of promotion, marketing, labeling and brand names that will attract and make local consumers to be proud when consuming local products.
