Design And Fabrication Of Plastic Water Tank Washing Machine

ABSTRACT

Experimental research on design and fabrication of tank washing machine using local material was done within MOUAU Engineering workshop and its Environment. The tank washing machine was developed with efficiency and low cost in mind. It also aimed at eliminating the drudgery in the operation of washing tanks by man which involves entering inside the tank or not be washed. The bevel gear, 200gallon (750 liters) and screw shaft was chosen based on the case of fabrication, availability of the components parts and simplicity of operation. Moreover, the fabricated machine was mounted inside the tank full with water, the operation worked perfectly with the speed of 350.35rpm. The operational method of this machine makes the washing in three directions by the method of clockwise and anticlockwise locomotion which can be operated by human power of (0l3hp or 0.10kw) using mechanical Pulley with the main screw shaft carries the brushes help to get the wall and bottom of plastic tank cleaned.
