Curbing Accounting Fraud In Nigeria Enterprise; Evidence From Forensic Accounting In Nigeria

ABSTRACT

The contributionlimportance of professional forensic accounting in detecting and preventing

fraud cannot be over emphasizd in Nigeria enterprise whether to the public sector or to the

private sector in Nigeria. The purpose of this study is curbing accounting fraud in Nigeria

enterprise; Evidence from foiensic accounting in Nigeria. Primary source of data were

appropriately used. Data were collected for the study using questionnaires, tabulated and

presented using chi-square (X2) testing method total at a = 0.05 significant level of population

sample of n = number of staffs. They were sample and responds gotten. Among the findings was

that the use of forensic accounting do significantly reduce the occurrence of fraud cases in

Nigeria enterprises and that the use of forensic accounting can help better in detecting and

preventing fraud cases in Nigerian enterprises.
