ABSTRACT

This studyfocused on culturalproficiency and organizational effectiveness in manufacturingfirms inAbia State, Nigeria. The specific objectives ofthe study include to: examine the impact ofcultural awareness on organizational growth, evaluate the effect of value diversity in organizational performance, determine the influence ofcultural competence on organizational productivity and ascertain the impact of cultural self-assessment on organizational profitability. The study was guided by a descriptive survey design because it gives detailed information about issues, problems, events and describes events as they are. Both primary and secondary data were used. The population ofthe study was 397 employees and the sample size of 199 respondents was obtained using Taro Yamane techniques. The researcher used questionnaire for data collection. The data gatheredfor the study was analyzed using descriptive analysis. Pearson correlation was used to test hypotheses with the aid ofstatisticalpackagesfor social sciences (SPSS). The empirical result ofthe study showed that there is significant impact ofcultural awareness on organizational growth. Secondly, Value diversity has significant effect on organizational performance. Thirdly, there is significant influence ofcultural competence on organizational productivity. Finally, cultural selfassessment has significant impact on organizationalprofitability. The study recommended that the management should create cultural awareness in order to enhance their organizational growth. Secondly, the management should not trivialize the significant impact ofvalue diversity as a way of boosting their organizational performance. Finally, the management should not trivialize the influence ofcultural competence on organizationalproductivity
