ABSTRACT

 To ensure organizational stability in a high volatile region such as the Niger Delta requires a company to have a well-defined and designed corporate social responsibility policy. This study was undertaken to empirically evaluate the effectiveness ofAGIP oil Company’s. Use of corporate social responsibility as a strategic tool for organizational stability in Ogulagha. Primary data needed for statistically analysis was obtained through the administration of a closed-ended questionnaire. The data was analyzed using simple percentage/frequency, distribution and chi square (X~) non-pragmatic test. The empirical result revealed that AGIP'S Corporate Social responsibility had statically significant impact on organizational stability and lives of the people of Oguhagla Community. It was suggested that other organization in the Niger Delta region adopt the AGIP Corporate Social responsibility policy template, CSR should be deployed with equity and touch virtually everyfacet ofthe community life.
