ABSTRACT

Information and knowledge managers operate in work environment that are not very conducive, coupled with the problems arising from prolonged exposure to computer screens. As a result ofthis work pattern, librarians and otherknowledge managers are constantly exposed to developing health issues which have been linked to poor computer ergonomics. This paper looks at computer ergonomics and computer ergonomic issues in libraries, computer ergonomics and librarians' productivity, good computer ergonomics practices, problems associated with poor computer ergonomics, and finally, offered suggestions on improving computer ergonomicsin libraries.
