Budgeting And Budgetary Control As An Effective Tools For Improved Performance (A Study of Emenite Group Of Companies Enugu, Enugu State)

ABSTRACT

This research work sought to examine budgeting and budgetary control as an effective tool for improved performance with particular interest in Emenite group of company Enugu. in a bid to achieving the stated objective, a well-structured questionnaire which was distributed to respondents. The researcher also made use of simple descriptive statistics, regression and correlation analysis the following findings were made based on the analysis conducted, it was observed that budgeting and budgetary control makes significant contribution to increase the organizational profitability. The adoption of budgeting and budgetary control measures make significant contribution to improved organizational planning. Based on the findings the following recommendation were made; that organization should adopt budgetary and budgeting system of adequate planning with strict adherence of it implementation, organization should discourage poor budget implementation and seminar and workshop should be regularly conducted to enhance budget preparation.
