ABSTRACT

The write up reports the findings of an investigation of the present situation in the application of information technologies in two university Libraries - Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike - a specialized fourth generation federal university and Imo State University Owerri - a first generation state owned university. The report shows that though the uses of information technologies in both universities Library are still at its lowest ebb and power supply have remained a mirage, the effective use of ICT in the libraries technical operations will turn around their services for good.
