ABSTRACT

This research study was·   conducted to show the·  eoaluation=o]  -·corporate · performance using financial  ratio Analysis  Nigerian banking industry .. Attention is paid to the· identification of different types of financial ratios, basic financial_ statement on which· financial ratios are applied,  various standards of . comparison and interpretation  ·   of· financial ratios.  First-  Bank Nigeria Plc. summary of Annual financial statement for the last fourteen years (2002;_2015) guided .this study. Only secondary data was used for this _study: ·thefindings   of the study reveal The Right use and application of financial analys_is, the relevance of financial a_nalysis  to performance evaluation,  the importance of financial ratio analysis to performance evaluation,  and the 'extent of reliance. of financial ·ratio analysis.
