The study adopted the use of descriptive survey research design, the population of the study consists of in-school adolescents in Imo state. The sample of the study consist of JOO in-school adolescents in Imo state. The sampling technique used in selecting the sample size is purposive sampling techniques. The instrument for data collection was a well-structured questionnaire titled ''value education a pathway to security of lives and property questionnaire (VEPSLPQ)". The instrument is a modified likert scale with response format of strongly agree, agree, disagree and strongly disagree. The instrument consists of section A, B, C and D. Section A captured items on bio data of respondents, B measures items on social education, C measures items on moral education and D measure items on environmental education. Face validity of the instrument was determined by one expert in measurement and evaluation and one Guidance Counsellor, the reliability of VEPSLPQ" was 0. 7 3. Data gathered were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. Findings of the study revealed that teachers taught only moral aspect of value education to in school adolescent, while social and environmental aspect of value education were not taught. It was recommended, that teaching staffs of schools should be encouraged to teach value education, also guidance counsellor attached to schools should hold periodic seminars on value education amongst others.
